Has he been charged with anything? Has his case gone in front of a criminal court?
He has not been prosecuted on any criminal or conspiracy charges in the UK

Never faced a criminal charge here in the UK. There's an extradition warrant from Jordan where he's accused of playing a part in a bomb plot. Problem is it seems that the evidence against his has been extracted by torture.

. . . and Tuesday morning he may be walking down your street.
If his bail conditions are anything like they were previously, then he will not be on my street.
"Abu Qatada, whose real name is Omar Othman, is subject to bail conditions including being allowed out of his house only between 08:00 and 16:00, having to wear an electronic tag, and being restricted in who he meets."

shame he wont be meeting Bin liner !
Why worry about a front man, keeping all us all happy to wish Him elsewhere?
its his mates that we don't know about, like the doctors doing the airport in scotland that need watching, if we can locate them, and i am sure any cells are not going to get in touch with him and blow their cover, so just dump him in the ocean.
