he wasn't accused of bad thoughts but of bad actions.
baz, the court did say he did, that is what's so galling.
didn't he admit to saying those words, or are we all going round the bend...
I think the words spoken were accepted, but the magistrate couldn't be sure it amounted to racial abuse. It must be the way Terry tells 'em.
Terry's all gold.. x
Terry said that he was repeating back what AF said that he had called him.,

Are you saying I said blah blah blah ?
"The FA case will be judged on a lower level, a balance of probabilities, the same as would be in a civil case."

The FA obviously think they are better qualified to judge the case than a court of qualified experts in their respective fields.

Its now becoming a farcical witchhunt and the PC mob wont be happy until they get their pound of flesh one way or another.

Much to their chagrin today they missed out one way so it looks like theyll try the other.

It would be funny if it wasnt so pathetic and indicative of the way PC is infecting every organisation like a malignant cancer.
a court of qualified experts in their respective fields

a magistrate.
Its all relative, he is an expert compared to a lay person. There was a lip reading expert, various legal counsel etc etc.
the magistrate made his decision based on the evidence offered, so he cant really be blamed if people didnt get the result they "expected".

hes certainly more qualified than any of the numpties at the FA
I've just seen the footage and it's hilarious. The bit where he's supposed to say 'I never called you a ' is completely hidden behind Ashley Cole's head - ie non-existant.

The only only words you see him say are the offending ones.

I'd still like to know why Roy Keane hasn't been charged with assault yet though. It seems worse than what Terry did.
Footballers' feet are for playing the ball, not for putting in their mouths. About time they realised this.
the lip-reading expert thought Terry said what everyone thinks Terry said. The magistrate concluded he couldn't be sure beyond reasonable doubt that it amounted to racial abuse. The FA doesn't have to be sure beyond reasonable doubt, however, and can thus come to a different decision on the same evidence, if they so wish.
"The FA doesn't have to be sure beyond reasonable doubt, however, and can thus come to a different decision on the same evidence, if they so wish."

Isnt it brilliant, a governing PC driven bunch of numpties having more power than a court of law. Now just pandering to the PC brigade
Who the *** do they think they are ?!

"We the FA find you guilty , not exactly sure of what at the moment as the court found you not guilty , but we'll come up with something !"

The court of the land found him not guilty, that should be the end of the matter, but no these rswipes want to try and make a name for themselves.

still if it makes them feel better about themselves
I hope Terrys legal people wipe the floor with them
they don't have more power than a court of law, just different evidential standards - the same standard as courts that hear civil cases.

Chillax. I'm sure he'll get off. It's already been demonstrated that football's standards are so low it's impossible to behave worse.
behave worse, how is that possible. They are a law unto themselves, and quite frankly i wonder why some see them as role models, something to aspire to.
The essence of the Magistrate's summing up was ...

I'm fairly sure Mr Terry DID do it.

His defence is totally implausible and unconvincing.

But because we can't hear the sound, reluctantly, we have to find the racist adulterer "Not Guilty"

As he left the court room, the Magistrate was heard to crack the gag ...

"Why do footballers like their WAGs to have suntans?

Because if they have dark skin, there's less chance of Mr Terry trying to shag them."

(laughter from the other magistrates)
that says it all.
Bazwillrun, are you talking about the same man you called a chav and a footballing thug who wasn't fit to wear an England jersey?
sounds like he's a bit of a wag himself, JJ
