Balls is indeed very smart but he is smarmy and smug with it - a political Piers Morgan perhaps, given the other thread on here.
It was hardly "Like being savaged by a dead sheep" momorable. No one will remember this "brilliant" remark in a fortnight.
I will gromit, every time I see his face or hear his name I will think oh that "muttering idiot"
so will i, very good put down, and i suspect that many on the Labour bench thnk so too.

who is fawning, i don't do that, however politics can be a dull old business, and anything that livens it up a little is good in my books. Besides Ed Balls is a bullying bulldog, i reckon he gives as good as he gets. I wouldn't fancy being married to him mind
Now we know who Em really is, Yvette Cooper!
DT, i said i wouldn't, go to specsavers right this minute.
Well, he IS an idiot.

I couldn't hear if he was muttering or not.
Actually no it wasn't clever was it really a stupid childish remark.

He did a bit better when he said Dennis Skinner was "A great ornament to parliament"

But Skinner is much better

He once said "half the party opposite are liars" and was told to withdraw it

So he said:

"I appologise - half the party opposite are *not* Liars!"

Of course if you think muttering idiot it wittier...
JTP, i think that Frank Skinner has had his day, and that Cameron is propping up the bar with a bunch of half wits and shady dealers.
sorry that should be Dennis Skinner, wonder where my thoughts went there, a skinny sometime comedian, and an old man past his best.
Good old Gromit - ever red and reliable - did you prefer what DC replaced the word "idiot" with -
the man who left us this enormous deficit and this financial crisis
Ed is the man who would borrow still more money - pouring petrol on a fire isn't good policy.

To quote the Iron Lady - labour governments always run out of other people's money.
Yes - amazing he didn't try to blame him for the Greek debt at the same time!

This from the man who was calling for less red tape in the City while the bankers were lining their ppockets

Priceless - still at least it pleases the Telegraph readers
JTP, Thank heavens you didn't say Daily Mail, us old fogeys, where is AOG by the way, would be down on you like a ton of bricks.
Is that the Iron Lady who lead the country into two recessions, lost the Falklands and spent a fortune getting them back?

The one who signed us up to Maastrict?

The one who all you Tories knifed in the back and then put up on a pedestal?

You are a comedy act! - no really you should be on the stage!
Our parliament is a disgrace and an embarrassment. It's nothing more than a damned pantomime complete with evil villains, evil villain wannabes and an audience of boo hiss booing monkeys.

How is anybody supposed to take any of it seriously?

Overpaid, self important buffoons, the lot of them.
I'm sure if I called anyone a muttering idiot on here, it would not be seen as clever. It is not clever in the slightest. It was a snap remark when he was angry and showed him in a bad light.

Apparently the Labour benches retorted with shouts of 'Flashman' at Cameron, the bully in Tom Brown's School Days. Slightly more thought has gone into that jibe, but it still ain't a classic.
Memory problems, jake? She inherited another whacking deficit from Labour, and got us out of it.

She didn't lose the Falklands - she kicked out an invasion force. would the lefties have had the guts to do it? Not unless the USA told them too - creep creep!

She stood up to Europe like no other PM has done until Cameron.

Tony and his crew would have had us in the Euro if they thought they could have got it past the country.

Nobody's perfect, but there are idiots in plenty in your camp.
