/// However, the Independent Parliamentary Standards Authority, which regulates MPs’ expenses, is asking for the public’s views on whether a more generous system should be introduced. ///

Isn't it 'the ***Independent*** Parliamentary Standards Authority', which always seems to have MP's interests closes to their heart?

I like the part that says "is asking for the public’s views", when are our views ever brought into force, when we requests them?

The recent request for a referendum on staying in Europe was a typical example.

One way or another they are going to make sure that can carry on living the lifestyle they have become used to.

if an MP could "make" 150k a year they are going to do whatever they have to to make sure they can continue to do so.

They should have thier hours in parliament scrutinised , dont turn up and put in a full shift then you cant claim anything.

whatever wheeze they come up with they will not be out of pocket in any way or form, of that you can be sure
