/// Maybe you should reread one of your own posts, AOG, and then quietly consider whether (just maybe) you have a blind spot somewhere.///

No I have no blind spots, the difference between these two posts in case you are unaware, is the fact that one is about the wrongful arrest of a group of one day protesters, who 'MIGHT' have caused a breach of the peace.

This one is about a group of protesters who have set up camp by erecting a number of tents outside a beautiful and historic cathedral, and who have been allowed to be there for over a month, with no hindrance whatsoever from the police.
I know you did em - and thankyou. I am only rude when I feel I'm being willfully misrepresented and deliberately pigeon-holed. I expect to be given as good as I get when I do it - there is rarely any real malice intended, I see it as 'a process' and the rude bits are just banter. I think certain people put too much emphasis on bawdy ways of communicating and miss the point (deliberately?) of what is actually being said.
ok, but it gets us nowhere, and i had posted before, as i am sure you noticed! that the protesters, whilst it's their right to do so, are wasting their time.
Where is Vanessa Redgrave, seeing as how she is much in favour of protesting about many of these issues. And it would appear that some of the Dale farm evictees, is that a word, are indeed going back.

Have you an answer to my question, please?
Only just seen your response AOG.

"
Now may I ask you a question, since it seems you are in defence of this protest camp site...........Would you also defend the right for a 'Right-Wing' protest group to also set-up their camp? "

Yes. If they were protesting as peacefully as these ones are, and without inciting people to violence (again, as these ones don't seem to be as far as I can tell), I would. I'd likely criticise the message, but I wouldn't attack the protest itself.

"As regards their protest making a good point, I along with many others are not quite sure what their point is."

For the record, I didn't word it this way necessarily because I think they are making an insightful and valuable point, I was just trying to ask how you'd feel if you thought they were.

"without the need for the council to take out any injunctions to have them removed, as this could take years (just as the illegal traveller's camp did), they should now be removed at once, before they erect barriers and scaffolding etc to protect their camp, what would you say then? "

Are they occupying the space illegally? As far as I know, I didn't think they were. But I haven't really had time lately to keep up with the newest details of the story aside from what turns up on AB. If you were being hypothetical, however, I'd probably support breaking them up if they'd stayed on the land illegally -in this particular case. Seeing as you used it as an analogy, I should probably say that I was very conflicted about what should've been done re: the travellers and regarding that case I'm still undecided on what the solution could or should be for that particular case.
