Tense activity in the courtroom now
I have just learned that Miss Knox"s mobile phone was turned off,as was
her boyfriends mobile, for 10 hours around the time of the murder.
Apparently this was unprecedented during her stay in Italy.
Did she at least know something was about to happen to Meredith Kercher

Not Guilty then!!!

Good point DTcrosswordfan. Maybe I should think twice before posting my wild accusations.
Barmaid also The Sun and The Guardian websites
time for bed here too. Night all

(great avatar by the way, clokey - you could have subbed in an Italian polizia unifrom though!)
Barmaid, it seems the Mail's report didn't just print Guilty for Not Guilty, it was full of colourful details... that were fictitious.

Someone should pin a copy of it to the News section for passers-by to read as an example of fine British journalism.
When contacted by The Hollywood Reporter a spokesman for The Daily Mail’s online team simply said “there is noone available at the moment” to offer a reaction to the web error.

That will be a first for The Mail, They have nothing to say ?
I know jno, I read the reports. And there was me thinking they were the pinnacle of journalism!!!!!!

lol clokey.
It's not often people write a headline that will go down in history.
Another famous one is this:

sandy, I remember a front page lead headline from the Times shortly after 9/11:

"Mullah Omar captured".

I'm still waiting to see how that turns out.
I never saw the wrong headline/story on the DM site, I did see a very funny typo underneath a court scene photograph though. They had inadvertently put 'Media scum' instead of 'media scRum'. I screen-shotted it before they changed it.

Hang on ... perhaps she is guilty after all.

As we all know ...

... if it's in the Daily Mail ... ... ... ... "it must be true" !!
must be jj
>> Prosecutors were delighted with the verdict and said that ‘justice has been done’ although they said on a ‘human factor it was sad two young people would be spending years in jail’<<

do the prosecutors know what is going on
Lol Daffy....
Their front page today leads with the acquittal, one thing i would add, wouldn't all papers have the headline story in readiness, not guilty or guilty,
in preparation for the first print run?
shows how they make up stories
>> they said on a ‘human factor it was sad two young people would be spending years in jail’<<
How much pressure from the USA was exerted to get her off ?
