Ian Blackford describes the deal as a "disaster for Scotland" - would no deal be less of a disaster for Scotland? Tell you what mate it's the SNP that's the real disaster for Scotland. Ok ok I get it they are having a tantrum because they are leaving the EUSSR "against their will" so they are protesting, it makes slightly more sense than the Labour lot who are voting against. Completely radio the lot of them!

completely foo I agree
The SNP would, of course, prefer no deal as it would give them more grievance material.
Over a million of us in Scotland did actually vote for Brexit but you wouldn't know it from Sturgeon's vitriol.
Interesting what Starmer does when the Labour rebels vote against his order to vote for the deal.

but what I don't get MM is that they want to stat in the EUSSR, right? The deal we have is a lot closer to to than no deal would be so why would they possibly prefer no deal? Only to throw the toys out because they did not get their own way?

apparently quiet a few SNP voters actually voted for brexit! oops! Don't tell the wee un!
....even some MSPs it seems....

It hardly matters as the deal will still pass easily.
It makes perfect sense politically as the SNP can always say they didn’t support it while still avoiding no deal
Nothing matters to SNP except maximum grievance and division.
The ERG have just accepted the deal unconditionally, so that's it.
The fishing issue is a red herring (pardon the pun) the former coastal waters of the UK are now sovereign British waters not the EU's & after the 5 year period of incremental grace, the fishing of them will be entirely at British discretion & on an annual basis.
Where's the problem? The posturing of the SNP & the Welsh is preposterous & pointless.
//Interesting what Starmer does ... //

Here is Starmer in busy and active mode, ready to lay down the law in no uncertain turfs ... err I mean terms. :))

LibDems, SNP, Ulster Unionists andLabour lefties are all against the deal. Boris has united the country!

Johnson himself failed to support several of Theresa May’s Brexit deals on the grounds that it was a rotten deal and not good for Britain. Funnily enough, that is exactly what the LibDems, SNP, UU et al, are saying about this one.

Plaid Cymru MPs will also be voting against the deal.
Is it worse than no deal sunk? Do you know what they want to be done of the vote is reject?? Renegotiate? No deal?
Sunk; Please, please, tell us what you think is wrong with the deal, carefully & in your own words.
They want to create disruption. Par for the course.
Khandro

Johnson went into the meeting demanding an 80% cut in EU fishing phased in over 3 years. He settled for a 25% cut phased in over 5 years. No agreement was reached on our 12 mile inland waters, so the EU vessels can fish them for the next 5 years at least.

// after the 5 year period fishing of them will be entirely at British discretion & on an annual basis. //

We have just agreed that in 2026 they can fish with a 25% reduction on present day quotas. That is still a lot of fish.
//Plaid Cymru MPs will also be voting against the deal./
What, all 3 of them? added to the other posturing idiots that might stretch to about 50.
I don't think Boris will lose much sleep tonight
The fish is a minor issue.

The deal is not good for Financial Services, and the City of London is going to lose lots of jobs and companies. Its status as the financial hub of Europe is over.

so sunk you only care about the 0.02% of GDP not the 99.98%, right oh!

cross posted: please explain this bow locks: "The deal is not good for Financial Services, and the City of London is going to lose lots of jobs and companies. Its status as the financial hub of Europe is over. "
Sunk at 16.49, that’s not true.
