Your vote will be counted. It will have some affect, along with literally everyone elses vote.

As I always say in these questions about voting or not voting, anyone who's stupid enough to not bother, is right to exclude themselves from the process.

It's a serious business, which should be left to the people that a) care who governs, and b) Can be bothered to turn out.

I'm not saying whom I'm voting for but have switched this time.

Just about to find where the station is (Google maps) just noticed on polling card different place to usual and somewhere i've never heard of, I've lived here 17 years.

Would you feel differently, RR, if it was one vote per person (like the referendum) without taking "seats" into account?
I know I knew this, but have just confused myself with Google, but could some kind person please remind me what the different voting systems mean? First past the post, proportional representation etc. Xx

TD, no I haven't read their manifesto and I'm not likely to. Hearing their representatives prattling away in television is enough for me.

First past the post is a plurality system. Someone can win without a majority.

IE, ABC.

I want to vote for A, but I'd rather C get into power than B isn't represented in a plurality system.

proportional representation is what it says on the tin.

Pixie in NI we have no ‘government’ but they are getting paid for doing fanny Adams, my vote counts towards them not the main parties.
I would vote if it counte towards labour Tory etc

They have some amazing prospects for the UK, but be a die hard voter that's fine.

I personally read all the manifestos (well listened to them.)

In my opinion, that makes my vote more educated than yours Naomi.

Imagine how many jobs that could be created to shovel up the horse schite that will be put down by the stock required to replace our current transport system, and the saddle and harness makers, hay and fodder suppliers, horse trough makers and installers, nose bag makers, grooming brush and comb makers, smithies and farriers, stable lads and lassies, etc. etc. Zzzzzz. Back to the future covered in it instead of talking it.

Thanks RR and TD xx TD, that's what I found from Google. I was going to write a post, but just wanted to make sure I had it the right way round. Google says the UK use FPTP for elections and I had thought we used proportional representation, ie... depending on area and seats...

I can only assume he reason you wouldn't vote is because you're not eligible.

Your opinion, but not necessarily "more educated". Knowing the manifestos inside out, does not assume you are better able to decide what the country needs.
