I don't think he will be dumped if Labour lose narrowly, but he may just do the honourable thing and resign. I'd like to see Jess Phillips as leader of the opposition. She really does appear to 'care' about the day to day issues of Government business and has a passion that others do not possess. Whether she'd want the job or not if Labour are trounced is another matter.

In a sane world he'd go, like Ed Miliband did, taking a good few old cronies with him like McDonnell and Abbott - but you never know with this lot.

His replacement would be someone similar. I don't think there'll be much of a policy rethink.

I'm the first to admit I know little about politics but I do feel that had a Labour 'bog standard' leader currently in the ilk of Brown, Blair, Callaghan etc they'd probably walk this election. I can't quite fathom why the true Labour MPs haven't wanted to kick Corbyn out before now - if they lose I think it's purely down to him as a disliked individual more than anything.

I agree. People can't stand Corbyn. The Labour party seems to think that the fact they're got a large membership that worships him counts for something, but it's the electorate that matters, and he's as popular as a fart in a lift with most of them - even the ones that will vote Labour anyway.

At the very least I'd hope he resigns - surely a second GE defeat would make him realise it's time to go.

Keir Starmer seems a decent replacement, because Labour must re-position themselves more towards the centre in order to give normal, decent, proper Labour supporters a party they can support, rather than the rabid Marxists currently in charge. Whether this would be possible considering the jack-booted Momentum clowns who are currently pulling the strings, remains to be seen.

Whether COB wins or looses he will go.

If he wins, and it's still very possible, then once in momentum will remove him and replace him with one of theirs. Then watch the fun start.

If he looses then I suspect they will look for some other puppet.
