Been watching the numbers roll on over the past few days - it passed the 6 million mark earlier today and since then there has been almost 15,000 more - https://petition.parliament.uk/petitions/241584

let me know when it gets over 17.2 million.
And let me know when they've removed the foreign entrants, the children's votes and the (many) multiple) votes.
Awww dry your Brexitears boys, it might never happen!

Brexit that is ;-)

I really have no words to describe the loathing I feel for those who are happy to hand over the running of the UK to an unelected foreign body
There’s a fascinating page at livefrombrexit.com that tells you all you need to know statistically about the petition. Most usefully or interestingly perhaps, it shows how each MP voted in all the major Brexit votes since 2017, including all the indicative votes

What are we comparing it to? Is there a current "don't revoke it" too? What are the numbers there st the moment?
It doesn't bother or surprise me at all that some people will be unhappy. What does, is that there are apparently so many people with no integrity who dislike democracy and would literally overturn it if they could.
I suppose comparing to every other petition on the petitions UK website. This beats the previous highest response by nearly 2 million (so far)
That is irrelevant though, ich. Where is the equivalent opposite of this, so the numbers actually mean something?
Particularly young whippersnappers who show no apparent allegiance to the UK and are not old enough to recall that this country managed very well without being tied to Europe. Seems like our snowflakes don't have the guts to return to us going alone. Too worried that they can't get mobile roaming in Ibeeetha or Majjoooorca.
This was always going to upset people either way, as it is such a binary choice and no in between. People will either get what they want- or the exact opposite. But asking for it to be revoked by those who personally disagree, is just dishonourable. Is that the kind of country you would want to live in? Cowardly and corrupt? I do understand the protest, but that doesn't- and shouldn't- change the results.
It’s just a petition with an enormous number of signatures. If someone wants to start a “don’t revoke” one they can. It stands the best chance of being accepted if it asks the government actually to “do” something,
What about a “no deal” Brexit petition? Or safer maybe to rely on the figures from 2016 ;-)
One person (no not the same person!) is signing it every two seconds : still.
That is quite impressive
Of course they can, ich. It's the idea they think they can actually overturn a democratic referendum. Sadly... That came down to one vote per pleb.... and took no account of ego size.
I don’t this one asks for your ego size, just your email address and postcode
Lol. How many bots too? Do we have any idea of accuracy at all? Even if it was spot on... it is hardly something to boast about, that 5 million people are antidemocratic.
This has been asked before: it would be very difficult for “bots” (automated computer hacks masquerading as people) to infiltrate these polls now because of the way you have to register. It impossible for people to vote more than once, tho to do so on a significant basis would require a considerable concerted effort.
As you can see from the link, 96% of signees are UK based. It’s not clear how that figure is arrived at. Probably by inspection of IP address.
Overseas people are allowed to take part I believe in theory.
The most telling factor as to accuracy (I’d be amazed if there aren’t several thousand invalid responses) is the breakdown by constituency, it’s more or less exactly as you’d expect. Large scale “funny business” would be likely to show unusual weighting in one or two areas.
Right... so about 6 million people believe their opinion is more important than anyone else's?
No.
They just signed a petition.
We already know at least 16 million want or wanted to remain. This isn't anything new.
