i keep thinking I've heard it before, but I think that's the point. Perhaps just some clever writing that is very similar to seventies type tunes so that it's easy to remember and sing along to?

I think they are an incredibly talented bunch of kids who write decent pop songs.  They are not ground-breaking in the least, just catchy.  They all play their own instruments well and are confident in an non-cheesy way.  They remind me of the 'Rollers!!!  If they wrote the song themselves that is amazing.  Not sure tho; they are so young.

I can't sing the chorus without turning it into this song by stevie wonder. think crisgal might be right - subconsciously we associate it with a musical genius and end up thinking it must be a great song!
