i wouldn't have thought so. If the ingredients are available seperately, perhaps no-one else has put them together in this combo?
Pharmaceuticals can be patented for a certain amount of time, but after that they become fair game. I don't know the exact details I'm afraid, I just remember my Dad telling me this when he used to work for one of the Pharma companies.
Its essentially liquid ambien, a sleeping pill.....
Zolpidem is the main ingredient I believe

It is a short-acting nonbenzodiazepine hypnotic that potentiates gamma-aminobutyric acid (GABA), an inhibitory neurotransmitter, by binding to GABAA receptors at the same location as benzodiazepines.
Sorry thats the USA equivalent - here its a proprietary combination of paracetamol (an analgesic and antipyretic), promethazine hydrochloride (an antihistamine that induces drowsiness), and dextromethorphan (a cough suppressant).

Couldn't have put it simpler myself:)
Liquid sleeping pill - thats interesting. The one time I took it, it knocked me out overnight and most of the next day. I thought it just didn't suit me and I have never taken it again.
That makes sense then, I think that's the point, to knock you out so you get a decent nights sleep even if you are all bunged up and can't breathe properly. Great stuff unless you have to be lucid the next morning. I find the Day Nurse one of the best cold medications going.
Jenna they do not have the promethazine (the sleeping agent) in the day nurse, thats why there is no drowsiness.
