This is going to be a problem throughout the summer, there will always be selfish, irresponsible people. Let's hope the police step up to the mark. On a good side, isn't warm weather supposed to halt the virus?
There may be a misunderstanding about warm weather dealing with it if the situation in Australia and other generally hot countries is anything to go by.
The local kids are still going out with their mates,it's been reported but the mums are frightened of them
Good point douglas.
I just love the precious, sanctimony of users on this site! All full of knowledge about viruses and the implication for the future of the country and the economy. All gleaned from the encyclopaedia of the tabloids and the internet. It must be true! It's gotta be! They wouldn't exaggerate anything would they?
Wrong diddlydo, I am not being selfish, I live on my own and
I do need groceries etc ~ so I DO have to go out.
I will be sticking by the rules however I think the very least likely place I might pick up this virus is walking in the open countryside - as opposed to piling into a supermarket which we are allowed to do.

You got long legs and feathers but can't fly, 10C? No doubt there's a useful patch of sand near where you live.
My household are only allowed out for a walk and to buy essentials. My partner won't let anyone in. My son came round (part of the allowed exercise) and stood in the road while I sat in our porch.

It's so sad :-(
I tend to share your viewpoint to some extent 10C which is why I wouldn't watch that Channel 4 programme, which there is another thread about, but not all of it is exaggerated as folk are still dying.
Clarion, nothing exaggerated about the above posts, why can’t you ‘get it”.? To go out is to put you at risk of contracting this deadly disease ,as alarmist as it sounds, stay in ,stay safe, go out and play Russian roulette with your life
That’s your two choices !!!
poorclare - me too, but I suspect the OP means going out in large gatherings to beaches etc. because of the good weather.
I love that Ken4155, good reply
Whilst walking in the open countryside is fairly safe, the problem is that you have to get there somehow and most people will drive, risking an accident and tying up emergency services and then park next to other people, being close to them getting out of their vehicle.

Obviously I didn't mean people shouldn't go out to buy food etc. I meant people should not go to beaches, tourist destinations etc , nor should they visit or be visited by friends or family.
People pleaded with people to give up smoking some listened some did not . There were rules made to stop people smoking in crowed place and it has got through .So if people are told the right way by the right people they will listen . The right people to tell them is their selves .if they don’t listen to them selves they are not gonna listen to no government spokesman .
My beautiful daughter now has this awful virus. She is on her own and lives about 360 miles away. She is classed as an essential worker. She is normally so fit and healthy and careful with her diet and exercise but somehow she has become infected. I feel so helpless as there is nothing I can do to help.
She previously told me shops and people around where she lives not following precautions. How selfish and stupid they are.
I wont be going anywhere, whatever the weather is like. Ive been in isolation three weeks now and Ive always found loads of things to do.
Lady Janine I’m so sorry to hear this, it must be so scary for you ( and her ) take heart knowing it’s not an automatic death warrant , my daughter has recovered from it, the people who roam the streets and cock a snoop at the warnings are indeed stupid and irresponsible , I hope your girl gets well soon xxx
Thank you Bobbi. She was starting to recover from a mild attack and now it seems to have come back with a vengeance. I am just so worried about her and there is so little - like nothing - that I can do to help.
She finished a night shift a couple of weeks ago and went to local supermarket to get something (milk, fresh fruit and meat) and all the shelves were empty. 14 hours and then nothing. Fortunately she had some frozen at home but so many so selfish. Legitimised Looters. Scum.
