Thank you. Can anyone make an argument for it being the 24th?
why?
It sounds like you're in danger of losing a bet Dusty.

Many churches hold late night services on Christmas Eve which continue till after midnight so I suppose there is a case for the 24th.

I suppose it depends on your definition of night. Many people talk about the middle of the night when they mean the early hours of the morning.

25th of course ! and No, I can't make a case for it being the 24th as that is Xmas Eve !

Is this thread a wind-up ?

Halloween night - Oct 31st evening

Bonfire/Guy Fawkes/Fireworks night - Nov 5th evening

Christmas night - Dec 25th evening

Christmas Eve is the evening of 24th Dec.....After midnight and all the masses, which as stated, are called 'Christmas Eve services' have finished, then it's Christmas Morning.
Don't you just love wind-ups :-)

Or should that be wined-ups?
