Love Peter Kay too.  Just enjoyed watching all the old ads.  The ology won with Beattie is great.  Didn't see all show.  Used to love the one with John Cleese for a supermarket and he was shouting Bigger BIGGER

No way.  I loved the Heineken or Calsberg advert in the eightees that was three adverts in one. 

-A feller from a Western ends up getting chased.

-Switch to a fake advert for a romantic album featuring a loving couple walking through moonlight garden, who then end up in the pond when feller from Western erupts onto the scene.

-Switch to fake washing powder advert in supermarket, where all the wares end up everywhere when the feller from Western gets chased through the supermarket.

The same 'poll' was run a couple of years back and the guinness surfers were no.1 with the Smash aliens way back in the top 10.

Depends what you want from an advert.  I personally think the Guinness one is clever and great to watch.  The Smash one worked in that everyone knew what the product was.  How many adverts these day leave you wondering or trying to remember what they were actually advertising!

I was hoping to see the brilliant Honda advert from a year or so ago in the top 10 with the Domino effect of the car parts and the excellent Sugar Hill Gangs - Rappers Delight playing. I could watch that over and over and never get bored.

No, I think it should have been the Hamlet one where the man goes through the drive-through zoo and the monkeys strip his car. :)
