without the prawns.

Mayo, a touch of ketchup, seasoning and a sprinkle of curry powder. Seriously stirred together until creamy.

I'll have the prawns thank you. x

Make the Marie Rose sauce - need a recipe - below?

Prepare a Baked Potato how you like it, Add some bacon rashers cut in pieces and the sauce and you have a "Prawn Cocktail without the Prawns à la Sibs".

• 4 baking potatoes or sweet potatoes
• olive oil/butter
• sea salt

Marie Rose sauce

1. Bin the Prawns and say a prayer to Sibs.

• 2 tablespoons of good-quality mayonnaise (light is ok to use)
• 1 tablespoon ketchup
• a pinch of cayenne pepper
• sea salt and freshly ground black pepper, chilli or chipotle pepper optional
• 1 lemon
• 3 or 4 rashers of bacon, crisply prepared (grilled for the less fat option).
• cress or fresh flat-parsley leaves, to serve,
l
• Bake the Potato(s) and then butter and season to taste, fluff a little of the potato and mix with butter/olive oil
• Add the mayonnaise, ketchup, and cayenne pepper (and chilli or chipotle) to a bowl, season with a pinch of salt and pepper and mix it all together
• Cut your lemon in half and squeeze in all of the juice then mix well
• Add the Bacon and gently mix so they’re all well coated

Assemble and garnish.
i vote Oyster Bay or Montana Sauvignon Blanc with the prawns. I can taste it now. (Reasonably) cheap and cheerful, but lovely jubbly
Question Author
Tone, it don't matter!! A pud is a pud :-)

ooh Excel, now that's a very good thought. x

AC, I'll do the chilli flakes on yours, the squeeze of lemon is a given :-)
Mmmmm, I'll have a think then, mazie.
