Who knows of a nice place to go that is hot(tish) and sunny (my partner likes the sun) but breezy so that it is not too hot for me (I dont like the sun)? We want to go on holiday together!

Fuerteventura sounds like a good compromise. Its hot and also quite breezy which is why a lot of people tend to go there to do watersports. Beautiful white beaches too.

Hope this helps x

Barcelona? near the beach and can be sunny but also a city with shops and things to see and do.

i have exactly the same problem and find a city break usually is a good compromise.

Yes, the Canaries are breezy most of the time as well as being quite warm. This is down to their location.
Canaries definately, there is always a gentle warm breeze blowing.
The Canaries are actually annoyingly windy - though warmish.  What time of year are you thinking about?
I would check out Lake Garda in Italy - lovely and breezy from the lake (although not too much), and nice and sunny - I've been there a few times and my parents go most years - my dad can't really stay long in the sun, but my mum loves it, and it's a perfect compromise for them both - and look at Limone - it's beautiful and not too spoilt.
The Portuguese Algarve, especially on the Western Side has breezes from the Atlantic but lovely sunshine.  I don't like really hot weather generally, but find the Algarve wonderful.  I would highly recommend Lagos or the villages around.  And May is a wonderful time to go.
that's easy - Cyprus - just perfect right now :o)

You beat me to it catanory - I would also say Cyprus.

The weather is always just right for us in April/May, then September/October time. Can't wait to go again - either to Paphos or Protaras!

The Algarve in Portugal has beautiful long beaches with cave formations which you can explore if you get fed up lying around. There's also a breeze, which as  well as keeping you from getting too hot, also seems to give you a more even tan.
