My wife was sitting stationary signalling right onto a side street with her wheels straight when a girl rear ended her in the left corner of the car, shunting her over to the right into oncoming traffic. There was 2 collisions, one the girl hitting her, then my wife hitting another car head on. The girl admitted liability at the scene for both collisions to a police officer. Now her insurance are saying my wife is liable for the second collision!!
What can we do?

Don't panic, let your insurance company sort it out, thats why you pay them a lot of money.

Tell your insurance company what the other driver told the police.
Do not accept it. Are the any independant witnesses. Im battaling a claim where someone reversed into me said he was liable at road side, and later blamed me for running into him. Could the police officer give an opinion on what happened to your insurance. Any thing is worth a try. Good luck
