You're right, GG. We have UK guests and there isn't a session in the village while they are here so some local and American musicians offered to come to the Síbín to play and sing for us. One of the best nights ever and no Irish gathering doesn't include our sporting anthem.

gness, I lived in Dublin (Blackrock) at the end of the seventies, playing in a well-known band. Some right good nights were had on nights off in Dublin pubs and elsewhere!
Could never get over that the TV closed down for an hour in the evening- was it something called the Angelus?
