morning all, its another early start but coffee on the go and here we are. I hope you are ok and in good spirits, and that your day whatever you may be doing, is a good one.

i have an online shop to sort out early this morning and a free day after that. Its been so beautiful weather wise, that its hard to believe we are soon to be in October, long may it continue to be sunny and warm.

Had some new t shirts delivered yesterday from Debenhams, glad they haven't gone altogether as I know certain makes from them usually fit.

Got hospital appointment later today for memory tests so that should be exciting.

i am sad that these stores are going or gone, i guess the main problem is having such large stores means huge rent, business rates on the properties, and that isnt sustainable in the long term, i have recently taken a bus ride all along Oxford Street to Marble Arch and its amazing how many shops have gone. some spaces have been filled but with American Candy stores, i counted 8 along the route, why i couldn't tell you.

I noticed there were quite a few in Glasgow too

I used to like C & A and sometimes go to them when we go to Spain if we are in an area that we know has one. Yes I think the rents some of them were paying was a lot and caused a few to go bust. I must admit I often went into places like currys or comet to look at stuff then go home and buy it from them online as it was sometimes cheaper and often there was no delivery charge when you order that way.

i don't know why there are so many American Candy store, as i said i counted 8 along the route from Tottenham Court road, that's without the Disney shop. I generally shop in Primark, as they have the clothes that i like and mostly fit. Its where the old C&A used to be.

that's been the biggest problem people are now doing much of their shopping on line and cutting out the big stores.

Don't think I need to worry yet but best to get it checked even though if there is something wrong they can't do much about it.

The thing is emmie, some of the big electric shops sell the same thing online and it is sometimes cheaper than in store and no delivery charge like they charge if you go in and buy it. I bought a computer many years ago and if I went to the store in Bristol to buy it and something went wrong I had to drive the over 100 miles for them to put it right, whereas I bought it online from them and when it went wrong they came to the house free of charge and repaired it.
