How old are you eric? you should have started in gocarts from the age of 5.

The very first step is:
Apply to DVLA for a provisional licence.

Step 2: Take some driving lessons.
Step 3: Apply for a Theory test. When you pass go to step 4.
Step 4. Apply and pass a driving test.
etc. etc.etc.

Toureman is right, majority of F1 drivers work the way up the ladder from carts, but you have to be caught young.
