I am looking at getting a new (well second hand) car, i quiet fancy a focus but would appreciate advice. I travel about 20k a year to work and back so do a lot of miles. All i want is five doors and realiability. I have 5k to spend any advice is appreciated.

If reliabilty is your priority then look for VW or Skoda don't laugh at Skoda's they are virtually rebadged VW's
all i will say is don't buy a vectra or any other vauxhall for that matter very unreliable, focus very reliable and reasonably cheap to run also as ropesite says all new ish skodas are just rebadged VW's so should be pretty good
I bought a 5yr old Focus for 5K in February, I do alot of miles, about 20K since i got it, it has now done 75k in total, never had any problems, had an interim service last month, no extra cost, starts up 1st time, get a decent mile per gallon i would strongly recommend a Focus, but like everything, you gotta b lucky!
