can anyone recommend a cheapish sat nav i want to buy one for my son

I have just bought a tom tom one , and very pleased with it, they have come down in price to !

Have a look on the auto express magazine website under reviews, (you'll have to google for the site address as I can't remember it). They recently did a test of loads from budget to premium units.

Thanks Stevo 5 are all tom toms the same as there seems to be a difference in price, cheaper the better! they all seem to come down in price.Thanks Dan will look at that got ma in law for sunday roast at mo!
I have the Sat Nav Road Angel, so its navigation and 'safety cameras' - I paid �249
Costco have an offer on, can't remember the name but it's now down to �140. My F-I-L heartily recommends it, even took him around Spain. Was �220 when he bought it 6 months ago.

Whats more important than the model is the software that goes into it. There is a wide variation.
