Yes.
No
She cannot be sent to trial as in all court cases it is Her Majesty the Queen Versus the defendant.
The law is the Queens law.
The Queen can issue a royal pardon so it would make sence if she could be arrested she would just pardon herself.
If a monarch has been arrested/imprisoned, they have probably been overthrown first.

Hope this helps.

So if she strangled Prince Phillip for instance, what would happen to her? Prison?
Nope, no prison.
Although if you stangled Prince Phillip, she would probably see to it that you didn't have to go to prison either - lol
Magna Carta established the principle that the monarch was subject to the law like anybody else.

Indeed there are acts or parliament such as the Royal Marriages act pertaining soley to members of the Royal family.

Charles the first was tried and executed for treason. - your opinion on the legitimacy of this will probably vary as your politics.

It's unlikely to be an issue unless Prince William gets engaged to a Catholic.

I reckon that'd still light the blue touch paper

I wish she would send tony blair to prison!
far as i am aware the monarch currently has immunity from prosecution, worth remembering diplomats can get away with murder
The queen has the power to pardon anyone serving time in prison, so I would imagine she would pardon herself pretty
quick if she did get arrested.....
The Queen is the embodiment of the law, and prosecutions are made in her name. She herself is above the law. The most obvious example is that any car owned by her is unregistered and has no number plates.
A while ago I asked this same sort of question, wondering what'd happen if she went beserk on a walkabout and kicked the crap out of someone. The general consensus was probably nothig much would happen to her, and the victim would become a celebrity.

"Strangling Prince Philip"... you're not the Queen are you, plotting something?
