Vauxhall Vectra - hot or cold, once warmed up, all interior windows steam / mist up - looks like the vapour has oil/carbon in it - any ideas ?

Sounds as if you might have a problem with heater matrix!
You don't have the air circulation flap closed do you?
It could just be your own breath or damp clothing causing the steaming up due to lack of fresh air entering the car.
No idea about the oil/carbon scenario..... sorry.
you could wait till you get home before indulging in hanky panky.lol.
Get your exhaust checked PDQ if the recirculate control is not the problem. Carbon monoxide will kill you.
