I have water leaking into footwell of my Vauxhall Vectra 1.9 diesel 2004. I've cleared out the drain next to the pollen filter just under the bonnet. I dont think its the heater.
has anyone any suggestions - I understand this is a common problem with this type of car/model

unlikely but not impossible for it to be the heater matrix,
It's only two years old.
if you can do it dip your finger tip in and dab it on your tongue, if it's the matrix you will taste the sweetness of the antifreeze, but use caution,
Iff all is well dry out the footwell and leave a hosepipe spraying the windscreen area, and at the same time keep an eye on the inside,
A water leak of this type can drive you up the wall as they are so difficult to find,
Good luck.
pete.
most leaks of this type are either through the screen seal/weatherstrip or a door weatherstrip.
As logic says , dry it out then get someone to sit in it and spray with a hose pipe or pressure washer, thats all we do as a professional garage.
