I Wish I Had A Magic Wand ,What Would You Do With One?

My grandson missed his graduation last year because of Covid, not sure that really bothered him to bd honest , his suit hangs unworn in his wardrobe .
This time a year on he’s having to self isolate as he was at a friends house with 11 others , they returned to school today , took their lateral flow test and one was positive so he’s isolating again, he’s 17 on Friday and has his first driving lesson ( he’s already bought his car himself) if the other lads PCR taken is also positive then he misses his birthday with his pals and was so exited for his lessons,
If I only had a magic wand…..sigh….:0(

The requirement for lockdown and/or self-isolate is very much a risk assessment exercise, and I sometimes think it is overdone, especially amongst that age group. Easy for me to say I suppose (as a double-jabbed septuagenerian) but it must be a lot harder for youngsters.

P.S. I shall be 79 on Friday, so wish him a happy birthday from me ;-)

18 month old grandson, nursery closed due to staff member testing positive. Daddy and baby PCR test, negative for daddy, positive for baby :(
Lateral flow test this morning for (six month pregnant)mummy, one jab only, negative.
Mummy and daddy PCR test this morning, awaiting results...
Supposed to be having baby for two nights on Friday and Saturday while mummy and daddy have a mini break in posh hotel before new baby arrives.
I soooooo wish for negative PCR tests but not holding my breath :(

If I was being selfish.... I might save away my mum's dementia and arthritis. My pains are from a life working and playing are at the moment bearable. Not saying the wand wouldn't come out again a few more years down the line.
