There's no law to stop you going out. Renew.
You may have to travel during the isolation period you won't want to get a bus....
You can both tax your car and renew insurance policies on line. You can also set up a monthly car tax payment method online.
Go on line, Artillery
If you take your car OFF the road, inform tax people, form from PO otherwise they PRESUME it is on the road, even parked, and you get charged.
35artillery38....This is the Government web site to tax a vehicle online.

You could SORN it if you have a garage or off road parking or a mate who will let you park it on their drive. That will save you taxing it but you still have to insure it.

Wrong. No insurance is needed on a 'SORN' vehicle:

Personally I would renew and very much value the ability to get out and about. There is no restriction on your movement, instead the advice is not to mix with others. So take a drive for a change of scenery even if you dont get out of the car. Or drive, walk in the fresh air and drive home again.
