Hello


Do i need a special operators licence to drive an 8 seater stretch limo for hire. I know i have to have hire & reward insurance.

I think you will need a private hire operators licence(same as private cabs) from your local council. Phone up your councils trading standards department and they will help you out.

Sorry to have to tell you that you will need 3 licences, (vehicle, driver and operators) from your local council. Most Councils do not accept these vehicles as their safety cannot be satisfactorily determined (they are glorified cut and shut vehicles from america which have reach the end of their useful lives.
