I live in South East Essex and want to hire a people carrier for a few days. Has anyone got any recommendations? I'd like it as cheap as possible, from a reliable firm. Thank you.

Thank you. I've had my licence since 1985 and I've driven a bigger vehicle than a people carrier. I'm wondering now whether to ask my sister if I can borrow her people carrier for a few days, as the cost of hiring the vehicle is almost equal to the price of the self catering cottage, so is almost doubling the price of the so-called cheap holiday. From what I understand, I'm insured to drive any car with the owner's permission. Do I need to notify anyone. (Providing it's ok with my sister)?
Will your insurance cover you for driving your sisters car TPFT or Fully comp ?.

I don't know. But from what I understand anyone is allowed to drive someone else's car with the owner's permission now, and they are covered. (May be not for people under 25 though). I don't know if you're just covered if you damage someone else's car, or if damage to the car you are driving is covered. Thank you
