I've been trying to find a tool to rewind the rear brake piston on a 2006 vauxhall vectra, i've already tried the Draper piston rewind cube and a laser rewind tool and neither fit!

Could somebody tell me which tool is the right one for this particular car?

This can be done using a Chisel, /bolster chisel Dan, you have no need to buy a tool.
Question Author
how do you do it with a chisel, will this not damage the piston?
Is the caliper on the car or on the bench ?
Question Author
on the car
remove caliper retaining bolts and remove disc. replace caliper and insert bolster inbetween break pads. While slackening bleed nipple (very slightly) prize open pads and lock off nipple before you stop prizing to stop air getting into the system. If the pads get damage in the process (replace.
This could have been done on the car Dan, be careful you do not damage the Rubber seal surrounding the Piston ( Very easily done) just take your time all will be OK.
To add, NO you will not damage the piston.
It is still on the car TWR ^^^^. Ps Dan, there should be no need to do this as you will not lose to much fluid, but check your fluid level afterwards.

i'll give it a go with the chisel tonight!
Dan, It would be easy with the bleed nipple slightly open BUT you can screw the piston back, I bought one of these tools a few years back before I checked the caliper out, then on starting the job I could see it could be done the way I've said, Make sure you have safety in mind when you are doing it, put the wheel under the body if you are NOT USING RAMPS, Don't forget to put a slight smear of copper grease at the back of the pads.
