Will you be stocking up? Just seen on Facebook, Northants Chron reporting panic buying has started.

Personally, I won't be because everything is in easy walking distance.

Nope. The only thing I NEED petrol for is to get to work and well, I'm happy for any excuse that means I can't do that.,
probably not - can't afford it till i get paid
No, I try to keep between ¾ and full but at the moment I'm doing the opposite as I get my new motor a week on Monday.
I'll buy enough for a fortnight instead of a week
Panic buying? No, but it's "sensible precaution" buying, isn't it?
I only spend £10 a month on petrol unless I am going somewhere. I may fill my tank up
I can't afford to fill my tank up :(

Not sure Ginge. You see the way people shop at Christmas. They shop like everything's closed for two weeks.
also, i don't watch/listen to news all that often. Why would people be panic buying?

I'm the same MrsO. I put my £10 in yesterday.
Neither can I Evian. I may have to sell an organ or one of the kids to fund it

There is talk of a strike bednobs. By tanker drivers...
Not too perturbed. I've just filled up anyway as I was on half tank, quite a few (more than usual) were too though.
I'll be on the pushiron soon enough anyway if this weather keeps up.
If there is a similar (very short) period of rationing as there was previously I guess I'll still be able to get juice, working in the NHS.

And that's not me saying I ought to get preferential treatment, it's just how it was governed last time.
no need. IF the stike starts the earliest is 3rd more likely 8th or 9th and it may not happen yet. all that panic buying will do is cause the petrol station to run out now and line the pockets of the oil compnaies even more
I bet if I earned 45 a year, as does the average tanker driver I'd be able to fill my tank more often.
That should have said 45 grand.
I'm due to drive to central France next week so I have topped up to the max because if I havn't got fuel to get to the Chunnel I ain't having a holiday.
I don't usually 'panic buy' but in these circumstances I'd rather be safe than holidayless!
Going to fill up later or tomorrow. Not panicking, just making sure i've got enough for 2 - 3 weeks.
Petrol station in Llandudno Juction ran out of fuel yesterday due to panic buying and I also understand Asda Queensferry had queues stretching half a mile yesterday evening. That's what makes Britain British, I suppose!
