Towing with an automatic

I have a Mondeo deisel automatic and plan to tow an Elldis Whirlwind caravan, it carwill be in the South of France in early July. Has anyone any experience of towing with an automatic? Any advice gratefully received.

It is so easy, no clutch to worry about just rev and go
I have driven automatics professionally for 32 years and never had a problem, you can;t tow one though, or push start one
keep the car moving as much as you can , on hills use the low gears so you dont strain the engine

keep the weight low in the caravan, pack everything low as it will make towing easier (especially in crosswinds)
Hey Dot, just where in the question does it ask about towing an automatic OR push starting? Do you now have a mobile shoe shop seeing that you drive professionally?
