i didnt think much to it really ...
I watched it, no where near as funny as usual!............this should be the last one!........
It was truly dire, unfunny and despressing.switched over..not impressed.
They were funny a few years ago, but should have left it at that, like Fawlty Towers.

i havent particularly enjoyed the last few of the royles actually,
including the one where they went on holiday in a caravan and the one where they went to denises for dinner and dave was defrosting the turkey in the bath ..
earlier episodes were good though.
i think theyve past their best now
yes, loooby, it's been all downhill!............they should just stop!.......not funny any more!
agree looby, I havent really liked the last couple of xmas specials, I dont think they could recapture the magic they had when they did the series
Enjoyed it .Some very funny parts .A lot better that most of Christmas progs .What was Anthonys girl friend in ? She was like the girl who played Carters girl in I dint know you cared a long time ago .
Not as good as last year's Christmas special but definitely worth watching, IMO.
Past their sell-by date, I'm afraid.
I watched it and quite enjoyed it but have to agree the standard is slipping,
Time to call it a day I think.

I thought it was excellent. Brilliantly written and acted.

And no cigarettes!
I think its had its day now - time to put it to bed.
Talking of bed, Look at the time -- Got a busy day on tomorrow so I'm going now,

Night All.

I agree with Mike/weecalf. We all liked it as much as ever whereas we thought last year's was poor. However I think that it should, like Fawlty Towers, be 'put to bed' now. Hadn't noticed the lack of cigs!
Saskia was in Downton Abbey. She played the maid who was very close to Bates.
Best comedy on the goggle-box yesterday !
I think it's fairly safe to say that there will be at least one more edition, given the cliffhanger ending...
