It’s frightfully early but the rain has woken me, so I thought I would make a start and the if I’m lucky enough to doze off there is a morning thread to chat on.
Off out to dinner tonight otherwise just working today, what’s your plans for today?

I woke up coz my thumb was hurting.

I have had my brother and his lovely wife, Michelle and two thirds of the kids up to help me move house.

Michelle made me the most gorgeous curtains from Cath Kidston material.

This is my last night here. I have had no broadband or emails all day but have found a Hotspot to use.

After the house clearance folk turn up in the morning I will be leaving. 34 years in this place.

I was feeling confident until Andrew told me I didn't have a toilet. The plumbers took it out to give them space to work. I might book into the premier inn. I wee a lot due to my kidney failure.

I'm at the stage where I want to cry when something goes wrong.

I enjoyed that mini-rant.

Good morning RH, and all who post, I'm still in bed thinking of getting up, lashed all night :-( thought skylight was gonna fall in.
Wolf, moving is hard going, we moved after 40 years, all plans were brilliant, on day of move, it didn't run smooth but we settled after day or so, we booked into a local hotel for 2 nights, worked wonders for our minds. I like Kath Kidson, I have few bags of her little floral pattern. Will be in our new house 14yrs this month, must be a good month for moving. I was hoping to sleep til at least 8am ..oh well. Have great day one and all :-) Ducks xx

Morning ladies and chip.
The rain has ceased for the moment but am sure it will be back with a vengeance! Everything is so wet and soggy!
Think I will be having a lunch nap today as not really had enough sleep!!
I remember helping my parents move after 14 years in the same quarter and that was bad enough 40 years in the same house I can’t actually get my head around it

Red, 40 years, was family home, my parents reared 12 children there... so it was hard, leaving neighbors and childhood friends. I don't think the rain is gonna persist RH, and the weekend looks good. There no bunnies anywhere near where I am now, I think if I seen one in the garden I'd expect its an escaped pet

The longest I have ever lived in 1 home is 14 years the shortest is 6 months!!

Morning all, just off for a couple of hours work covering for a colleague...don't mind this as it's not that far away and the team there have a lot of good banter. Then a s-market raid, a brief one, and back here to base, and see what the day brings along.
