I don't know exactly what it is but I have this weird feeling recently that something major is going to happen on earth in the next few years. I think it's down to the fact that recently there seems to have been a lot of discoveries about the universe, like the one about scientists reckon black holes came before galaxies and there are other things too. And technology seems to be moving so fast that I feel evolution will not be able to keep up. I am aware that these are simply the ramblings of an internet user but I do have this eerie feeling. So weird. Anybody else?

Well you're certainly not alone.

People have been feeling the end of the world is imminent for thousands of years.

Here's a list of 63 failed end of the world predictions

Let's hope yours is another eh?
Perhaps you should check out the Mayans. There's lots of people jumping on their bandwagon.

They're all going to feel very silly come 2013...
We're Doomed , I tell you Doooooooomed !!
I was doomed once.

I got better.
i think it is mankind that will bring about the end of the world...just think about those crackpot scientists fooling about with particle colliders...even they don't know what the hell will happen if the damn thing ever works.
Is it to do with knowledge? A little knowledge is a dangerous thing.

The internet spreads knowledge like human kind has never known.

Knowledge will contribute to our worry, but only the correct information will cure it.

As we'll never know what is correct, we'll always worry. It's in built in human nature.
I'd put it down to wind, lack of sleep and too little to occupy hands and mind.
Look, something is always going to happen.
Nothing never happens.
I think when the end is actually nigh then maybe someone should walk around the streets of London bearing a sandwich board to advertise the fact would be very apt.
a friend and i were talking about the Mayan prophecies yesterday, as its been made into a film called "2012" by Roland Emmerich who made the Day After Tomorrow.
I wouldn't mind the end of the world to be honest. If i was told tomorrow that i was terminally ill, i'd be afraid, and sad that i was going to die, and my friends and family would have to keep on living without me. If we were all going to die in an immense fireball, i'd feel much better about dying.

I've heard about the mayans and that may be in the back of my mind right enough. But as I say it just seems like every couple of weeks now there's a new story which just make me think there is something happening here. For example during the week they were talking about possible life on mars and that's another tick on the box in my wandering mind.
