Us -What does it cost to put a reserve on a piece in an Auction and Fail to sell it? surely the Auction House gets something ?

This is a typical, albeit low, term of auction houses:

In the case of unsold lots: The vendor is liable for a charge of �4 for each lot unsold in the auction. This charge is designed to discourage the submission of un-saleable lots, or the imposition of unrealistic reserves.
