Is it actually possible, as seen in Kill Bill for example, to cut a humans head clean off with a Samurai sword?

Apparently so, but I suspect that it's a lot harder to do and requires a lot more skill than the movies imply.
It is slightly worrying that you want to know that!!!!
actually it happend a couple of weeks ago in germany. a guy cut off his mother's head because she had just booted him out of the family house. ok, it wasn't a clean cut, more like almost completely , but i'm sure if he had had some training before he would have succeded. so now you know you don't have to try, do you?
Because of their construction, Samurai swords are very strong, but very light, and incredibly sharp, all of which means that with the right delivery - training required - a decapitation is possible, and was often demonstarted during Word War Two.
Folded metal is incredibly strong - it will cut through virtually anything. So yes a human head is no problem!
what people arent mentioning is that the most important thing about a katana/samurai sword is the curve of the blade, the curve is what makes the samurai sword so..effective, it's not nessesary how strong or sharp it is but it is actually the shape/curve of the blade.
The handle of the sword is covered with ray skin which is legitimate with support of black leather braid making it easy to hold fulfilling the movie like requirement. The gold dragon is most attractive and elegant sign which are embedded on sword accurate like movie. It is specially considered the model appear in the movie and manufactured same accurate like movie.
