Anyone remember this tv series?

Can anyone remember what this tv show was called? Think it was american. I remember it was about some 'men' who were the next link in the human evolutionary chain. They had different dna and I think they were a lot stronger than humans. I think the authorities were after them to do tests on them.

Quite a good series, but stuck away in the wee small hours in ITV. Trying to think who it starred now - the attractive girl with the gay male flatmate...! Someone and someone (!)

Had been googling like mad to find it - but it's a bit hard when you can't remember the names.

Have googled it now and found the name of the actor with the fantastic blue eyes in it - Adam Storke.
