I remember watching something on TV about 20 years ago set in WWII and (I think) Singapore, I'm sure the name was something like Tamara. Anyone remember this and can remember the programs/series real name?

It might be 'Tenko' - set in a POW camp somewhere in the East - sorry to be vague, but I never watched it.
"Tanamera", based on the book by Noel Barber. The book is still in print (though Noel Barber doesn't occupy the amount of space she used to in most stores). I don't think it's been released on DVD, though a video was available, but is now deleted. There's one listed on eBay: http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&ca
