Anyone remember this classic from the mid 1980's? It starred Bob Peck and concerned the murder of a policeman's daughter and nuclear waste and would be well worth a repeat showing.

Oh I remember that, he played a police inspector who's daughter was murdered....can't remember much more than that, except that I really enjoyed it!!

Joanne Whalley (ex -Kilmer) was the daughter

Joe Don Baker played the US Army Officer/Agent

Eric Clapton wrote and played the theme music

Basically about misuse of uranium or plutonium and cover-up and conspiracy...

Wouldn't mind seeing it again as well

yeah I remember it, it was a briliant series. It was on the same night as "A most peculiar Practice", does anyone else remember that? It was about a university Dr, very weird, but quite amusing.
Ah-ha...vaguely remember that too, think it starred Peter Davidson and like you said was set in a university...bit satrical about Thatcher and politics...if I remember rightly! Yep.....telly's just not what it was!!!
I got the DVD out of the library recently. It was as good as I remember. They should definitely put it on TV again.
