It's only easy if you know the answer.
Question Author
there are microbes on pluto that know Jupiter is a gas giant, so that rules out 2 straight away. .....
Everything's easy if you know the answer. I'd be guessing - I think it's a storm, but I don't know.
Question Author
come on jourdain you must know that...
Jupiter is a gas giant........
Question Author
yes it's a storm but that's obvious.
I know another gas giant. Mostly hot air.
I have very little interest in astronomy TTT. I hope I have an intelligent general knowledge. No, I did not know that Jupiter is a 'Gas giant' - why should I? I know it is huge, I know its position in our solar system, I know Holst and quite a lot of literary stuff about it. I could work out that it had to be a storm, I didn't have to know it.
Another BA to Doug.
There's absolutely nothing in the main National Curriculum that covers the characteristics of the planets within our solar system. Even students who opt to take Physics as one of their GCSE subject won't encounter such information. (Space physics, such as that relating to red shifts or geostationary satellites is included, but planetary information isn't). It's only the very small number of students who opt for GCSE Astronomy (which is only taught in a tiny minority of schools) who would learn about Jupiter's great red spot.
I did know the answer though.
I didn't.
Ttt i bet yr over the moon!
Round the bend, more like.
Question Author
It seems knowledge is a sin these days. I thought it was common knowledge that Jupiter was the largest planet in the solar system and was made of gas.
Question Author
....well if I was on the show I'd have thought it was my birthday. TBF all the questions were obvious but this one was double obvious!
The answers are only obvious if you know the answers or have second sight. I have a fairly broad general knowledge but put my hands up to the fact I don't know half of it, if that much
BA to Doug
He gets plenty material for his quick fire responses on AB . !!!
