Didnt know whether to put this in news, P+P or here, so if its the wrong category then sorry

I just saw on tv this morning about the York Eye thing(big wheel in York) anyway the reporter said that there was a VIP car on the wheel with a tv in it. What on earth would anyone want to watch tv for on a ride? It must last all of 3 minutes, just enough time to watch the adverts lol. Or maybe someone will pay for 10 turns on the trot so they can watch Corra or something.

lol pixi!!!! I thought exactly the same when I saw it.
It would be great to stop the wheel when they're at the top & have a newsflash on the tv telling them they were going to be stuck up there for 24 hours! Then put loads of progs on about water.....hahaha ..... :o)

yayyyyyyyyyy an answer, I mean, ahem, hi there robinia lol. hope you are doing okay :) lmao at the newsflash, that would be well funny. I just couldnt believe what I was hearing this morning, I was like 'eh? a tv? what for? lol

They had one in manchester last week near the Harvey Nichs store, i wonder if it is the same one and it is touring the provinces! I think the one with the TV actually is a CCTV one showing the wheel in action, morning pixi, how many eggs will the Easter Bunny be bringing you?
Question Author
hi dotty, lol well that must be the most boring tv in the world then. awww i asked the easter bunny not to fetch me any eggs cos i eat way too much chocolate as it is. Come sunday i will be whinging when i dont get any. How bout you? Is the bunny visiting your house?

I do not understand how people can go on wheels like that, the London Eye for example. Stuck in a little transparent cabin for an hour or so. What happens if you are caught short, or get panicky ?

hi whiffey, I have mild claustrophia so wouldnt dare go in one of those little cars anyway. hmmm you would think the VIP car would have a tiny toilet installed just in case. oh and what happens if you run out of chocolate?

Little chance of that pixi ! The CO-OP are doing Lindt Milk chocolate for 99p a bar, so I am buying 2 a day, no word of a lie. I have at least 10 bars on top of my piano now, 12 by this evening.

Interesting that you have mild claustrophobia. How do you handle the London Underground ? For me now it's a no-no. I arrived at Victoria one morning and just got carried underground in a mass of humanity. It was horrible, never again.

I am quite off chocolate lately pixi! But a big bunch of daffs from the grandson would be a special treat this year!

Whiffey why do you want so much chocolate? have u had any of those Lindt Bunnies, they lok really cute!

Question Author

wow i love lindt choccy, I have some of the 85% plain in the pantry. I have never been on the underground whiffey, it would freak me out being near so many people lol

aww dotty, i cant understand how peeps can go off choccy lol A big bunch of daffs would be lovely, ours are in full flower in our garden, though they are only the minature ones.

Well its hellhole time so I gotta go, have a great day everyone byeeeee xxx

an hour? You'll be lucky whiffey. About 20 minutes on the London Eye and there are rumours that they speed it up a bit at rush hour although they deny it. If you're apt to get caught short, go before you go. Can you really get claustrophobia when you're in a glass container?

jno, claustrophobia is widely held to be a fear of confined spaces. The fundament of it however is really 'loss of control'. Glass cabin yes, but you have no control over being or not being in it. If I was told to sit in a chair in the middle of a huge field and not move for an hour, I would find it disturbing.

How did we get on to phobias ? My fault. Eeek !!
