Goodnight campers! RIP!
That's really sad.
Always seems strange that someone is ok one minute and then gone the next.
R.i.p Ruth, you brought us some good entertainment.
Sad news - RIP Ruth.
Ahhh. That's sad. I watched a documentary about Hi di Hi a little while ago. It still made me laugh.
Very sad RIP
RIP Ruth
Very sad indeed. A few days ago I heard she'd had a fall and withdrawn from her pantomime. She went into hospital and died, what ever happened? She was all set for a tour of Marigold Hotel through 2023. Such a shock for the family. RIP sweet lady.
Ho-de-ho.

RIP, a sad way to go for a lady who created a lot of happiness.
Very sad. As most actors she was far more than the role everyone remembers her for.
RIP Ruth, my Uncle died the same way, fell over and never came out of hospital, whatever happens after a fall?
/// she was far more than the role everyone remembers her for.///

Hear hear, I totally agree.
/// she was far more than the role everyone remembers her for.///

I'm interested to know about her role alongside Richard Burton in Under Milk Wood, one of the gretaest performances of all time, just loved his voice.
Bye-de-Bye

RIP Ruth Madoc
Her husband Philip Madoc was a fine actor (tremendous Brother Cadfael on radio) and played the Nazi sub. commander who demanded Pike's name - as well as a memorable role in Last of the Mohicans. I didn't watch Hi de Hi more than a few times, but she was certainly memorable in the role and I saw her a few times afterwards in other parts. Not all that old, really. R.I.P.
