Ta for the news, Alba. I'll most likely begin watching tonight. Read all the books and, so far, the series has adhered to them. It will be interesting to see just how much the final series does and where in time it takes us to.

Zacs; The Last Kingdom is more 'Vikings' than 'GOT', fiction mixed with fact. Many of the battles shown actually took place and not all characters are fictional. Much superior to GOT, imho.

I'm watching Vikings: Valhala at the moment but might start watching The Lask Kingdom now. It's definitely not a poor man's GoT, Zacs. It's loosely based on historical fact and is excellent. And Uhtred is very easy on the eye ;o)

What a superb finale! Watched all 6 remaining episodes tonight and the hairs on the back of my neck were stood on end for quite some time during the last episode. Uhtred and co, i have tremendously enjoyed your company:-)

Hah, there is a horse running today (Ayr 2.10) by the name of......Destiny Is All!! Unfortunately it is the short priced fav so unless i can fine 2 or 3 to go with it for an acca, it will have to win without my money on it:-))
