morning all, its the weekend round again, where does the time go. any plans for the day?
apart from a friend from NI calling me, i have nothing else in the calendar, but that might change, depends on the weather. The forecast yet again is for a sunny day, but who knows with this topsy turvey summer.

I'm a bit damp down under Emmie;-/
With a bit of luck it's going to drizzle for a couple more days.
Then it will get cold again for about a week.
Roll on summer.

Keeping well?

Hi 1ozzy
Question Author
it hasn't rained for a few days, but it's been chilly,
i am ok, bit tired with waking so early but find that if i am out and about that goes. How are you today?
No real issues here thanks.
If the sun shines up there I bet you will be out enjoying it.
Just decline the offer of Totem tennis :-)
Question Author
no more picnics for the time being, though there was talk of a church get together once a month though doubt if it would be cold food, as the autumn / winter comes on, as we all sat inside last sunday because of the cold.
Question Author
the forecast for the week seems to be sunny and warm, i will believe it when i see it, wednesday has a 26c temp, so perhaps that will be our Indian Summer, can't say this year has been good because it hasn't weather wise.
It was warmish down here over the last 2 weeks. Weather forecast is for zero or subzero temperatures overnight rising to a high of 8-13 degrees for the next week or so.
Glad I stocked up on firewood.
Question Author
that's quite cold, i thought you were heading for summer.....
We are, but every year there is always a minor hiccup as winter ends.
We enjoy as low as -8 during winter nights and up to 48+ some summer days.
A wide range
Question Author
ok, that would be too hot for me, 48 is scorching...
It is, but with a slight breeze in the shade it's not as bad as it sounds.
No humidity in my neck of the woods.
When I've been in Queensland and its only 28 with high humidity I fade quickly.
Question Author
i love the warmth of a summers day, sadly this years has only seen a few, its just not enough to shore up for autumn/winter.
Morning all, still early dawn here what with the nights drawing in, an overcast day expected - the same predicted for tomorrow - ugh. Got the usual Truro raid first thing today - M&S Waitrose within my sights.

Question Author
morning Dtc
If I could vacuum pack and post you some outback summer to help you through a "pommy winter" I would Emmie.
Quite often during winter I start the day with 3 layers of clothing, gradually drop down to one by midday, then reapply as the day progresses.
Question Author
i have my online shop coming tomorrow morning, though they have been swapping some items of late, but no matter, it's not that important in the grand scheme of things.
All good in your neck of the woods DTC?
Question Author
i should have liked that 1ozzy, some much needed warmth whilst winter is upon us. Most of what happens up in the capital is wet/grey days during autumn, though i do have warm clothing for the colder months, i dislike being clogged up with jumpers and coats, jeans, boots, and the like. I like it when like now i am out in shorts, t shirts, with just a sweater in case of cold.
Wet and grey is depressing Emmie.
How do you cope?
Question Author
i don't always, i find myself hibernating during these months, but will try and get out more even if its a walk to local pub which takes me a slow 15 minutes.
