I can remember wanting to be sixteen so I could watch X films at the cinema - then throughout life certain ages meant you 'qualified' for certain things and now I am a pensioner the ages seem to have gone the other way - just seen an advert for homes only for 'over 45's'!
when I worked in the NHS, I was involved in designing a new national framework for services for older people....The definition of old they iused was anyone who has completed their work either in employment or childcare....so have your kid at 16, win the lottery age 32 and kick your kid out with a fistfull of moolah and hey presto you are an older person!....even if you wait till kiddo is an adult, you are still old at 34.
I am 73 going on 25. Age won't define me; I will define age. Remember, you don't give things up because you get old; you get old because you give things up.
I would say old is when you start to draw old age pension.
Not at all, Im drawing mine and have been for a couple of years and don't feel at all old, Running/walking/climbing/ your as old as you feel, thats how id put it.
