We received a very large box of cheese biscuits. It has lived next to the bread bin ever since. Today I noticed it had vanished. We have both searched the house, checked every cupboard, no where!
Has our friendly poltergeist been at work again?

Have you got someone living in your attic?
The expression "going crackers" springs to mind...
Maybe one of you suffers from a sleep-related eating disorder?

Even if you haven't though, make a note of the facts there anyway. It's an excellent excuse for binging in the middle of the night ;-)

The box had never been opened, still in cellophane sealed wrapper. We had been eating up our opened box of biscuits.

The box was also too big to fit into a cupboard, so it was on its edge next to breadbin. Weird!
What's more likely? A ghost ate it (why would a ghost need food?) or your other half took it, or you took it and forgot?
you need some security cameras going. The somnambulist must be identified
What do you expect the little people to eat at night when they come to tidy up ?
Perhaps they were nacho cheese biscuits?

;0)
you ate them whilst you were both completely out of it
Is your husband the type who would play tricks on you ? I would find it more odd if you lived alone, but two of you - well ....

Unless you DO have a resident ghost of course !
maybe you had a burglar & that was the only thing worth taking!

We do have a poltergeist, things have gone missing before, and things being moved. So another possibility.
has your cheese supply depleted?
I've had things go missing and turn up in places I've already looked -and I mean really look like taking everything out of the drawer. I blame OH who 'tidies' things up then forgets, and is too embarrassed to say he's forgotten. Often days later the item turns up in the very place it was supposed to be in.
I'm still waiting for a missing camera I KNEW was in one of my kitchen drawers to turn up, it hasn't yet. I have some photos on it I don't really want to lose.
Did you give them to someone, and forgot?
Everybody enjoys a night at the Ritz.
Sometimes things are staring you in the face yet you can't see them. I've had this experience before.
Caran, remember your earrings that went missing and then turned up where you usually keep them?

Forget about the biscuits for now. You’ll find them when you’re looking for something else.
