How come all the soaps are now getting stupid.They are supposed to be a real take on life and current situations.So how come with the present restrictions Emmerdale,Coronation st and Eastenders the pubs (Woolpack.Queen Vic and Rovers and Bistro) are open and serving as normal inside people served at bar.The cafes and restaurants are serving people who eat inside as normal.I know they film in advance but surely its not convincing with the present lockdown restrictions.The scriptwriters need to realise that it makes them look silly

I remember The Bill going bonkers, unless I dreamt it. A long time regular turned rogue doing more outlandish things and bombed or set fire to the police station.

I remember from its early begining's in 80's and throughout when I'd see it, I didn't know how it finished. I do remember Reg though... that was sad.

Originally the Bill was an hour show with different stories each week, it turned to carp when they changed it to a 30 min soap, with all the attended extremities required to compete with other soaps. Originally it was a pretty watchable cop show.

Soaps are meant to reflect real life? Which Yorkshire village do you know of that houses multiple murderers, multiple gays/bisexuals and serial adulterers? Not to mention a vicar who hops into bed with anything with trousers on.

I love Corrie, always have and probably always will ! I don't think they look silly at all, I just go with the flow. Last night's was gripping for me, poor Kevin and Debby locked in the big fridge. I thought at one point Debbie had actually died as she went quiet, couldn't believe Abi didn't hear Kevin banging and shouting on the fridge door !

Me and Mister B both like Emmerdale and Corrie, we've never watched EE for years, they didn't talk, they screamed at each other , I've watched Corrie from the very first episode that aired on December 9th, 1960 when I was a mere 14 yr old

Is this the third time Corrie has trapped people in a fridge or freezer?
I remember someone dying in Freshco's freezer (nobody goes to Freshco's any more) and I'm sure somebody was locked in Fred's freezer in the butcher's. I say, I'm sure somebody was locked in Fred's freezer in the butcher's :D

you dont seem to have noticed how they mention covid regular and that they all stay a distance from each other yes they are filmed in advance but only a couple of months covids been out 12 months...
its cant be a soap with out a pub or a cafe so you have to accept this

I sat next to a guy on a Eurostar train who was reading through a script and making notes on it. I couldn't help taking a look at the script out of the corner of my eye and I struggled to stop myself from laughing at how poor it was and, in particular, how the coppers in the script seemed never to have heard of the provisions of the Police and Criminal Evidence Act. I assumed that he was a college tutor, reading through the work of one of weakest students and thinking how much he must have wanted to groan at the standard of work he'd been presented with. It wasn't until he closed the script that I saw the name of the production on its cover and also the name of the director (which matched the name on the ticket of the guy sitting next to me). Yes, he was the director of 'The Bill' ;-)
