For the first time in almost a century, Times readers will be able to enjoy their favourite newspaper on Christmas Day. In 1912, newspaper editors agreed not to produce a Christmas Day edition of the paper for the general public – giving delivery drivers, newsagents and paperboys the day off.
I don't know whether it still is, but the Scottish Daily Record, sister paper of the Daily Mirror, used to be published on Xmas Day and was available in the North of England. The only day of the year that it was seen in England.
